T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, 2 but only as an exhortation for him who fears God; 3 It is a revelation from the Creator of the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Beneficent One, Who is established on the Throne. 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, and all that lies between them, and underneath the soil. 6 And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. 7 Allah! There is no Allah save Him. His are the most beautiful names. 8 And has the story of Musa come to you? 9 Behold, he saw a fire: So he said to his family, "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 When he reached it, he was called: 'O Moses, 11 Verily I! I am thy Lord: so take off thy shoes; verily thou art into the holy valley, Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you. So listen to what is being revealed. 13 I Am the only God. Worship Me and be steadfast in prayer to have My name always in your mind. 14 "Behold, [although] I have willed to keep it hidden, the Last Hour is bound to come, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with what he strove for [in life]. 15 Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." 18 (Allah) said: "Cast it down, O Musa (Moses)!" 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. 20 "Catch it," said He, "and have no fear; We shall revert it to its former state. 21 Put your hand under your armpit: it will come out [shining] white, without any blemish. This shall be another sign. 22 so that We might make thee aware of some of Our greatest wonders. 23 And go to Pharaoh now for he has transgressed all bounds." 24
