And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon on both of them in the latter (generations), 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 Then they belied him, so verily they are to be brought up. 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
