Say: 'O my Lord, if Thou shouldst show me that they are promised, 93 O my Lord, put me not among the people of the evildoers.' 94 Surely We are able to show you what We warn them against. 95 Repel thou the evil with that which is fairer. We Ourselves know very well that they describe. 96 and say, "My Lord, I seek refuge with You from the prompting of the devils. 97 And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they be present with me." 98 When death approaches one of the unbelievers, he says, "Lord, send me back again 99 That I may do some good I did not do (in the world)." Not so. These are only words he utters. Behind them lies the intervening barrier (stretching) to the day of their resurrection. 100 So when the trumpet is blown, there shall be no ties of relationship between them on that day, nor shall they ask of each other. 101 Those whose scales are heavy shall prosper, 102 But those whose scales weigh light will have ruined their souls; in Hell will they abide. 103 the Fire smiting their faces the while they glower there. 104 (It will be said): Were not My revelations recited unto you, and then ye used to deny them? 105 They will say, "Our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a people astray. 106 O our Sustainer! Cause us to come out of this [suffering] - and then, if ever We revert [to sinning,] may we truly be [deemed] evildoers!" 107 'Slink you into it,' He shall say, 'and do not speak to Me. 108 Verily there was a party of My bondmen who said: our Lord! we have believed, wherefore forgive us and have mercy upon us, and Thou art the Best of the merciful ones! 109 But you took them in mockery to the point that they made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them. 110 “Indeed this day I have rewarded them for their endurance, so that it is they who are the successful.” 111 [And] He will ask [the doomed]: "What number of years have you spent on earth?" 112 They will answer: "We have spent there a day, or part of a day; but ask those who [are able to] count [time]" 113 He will say: "You stayed only for a while, if you only knew that. 114 "Do you imagine that We created you without any purpose and that you would not be brought back to Us?" 115 So, exalted be Allah, the True King! There is no god but He, the Lord of the Great Throne. 116 And whosoever calleth, along with Allah, unto god, of whom he hath no warranty, then his reckoning is only with his Lord; verily thrive will not the infidels. 117 Say: "My Lord, forgive and have mercy. You are the best of the merciful." 118
