The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 And when the souls are paired. 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 and Paradise is brought near, 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 BUT NAY! I call to witness the revolving stars, 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 and the night that falls, 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 of power, given a rank by the Owner of the Throne 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Then where are you going? 26 This is naught else than a reminder unto creation, 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. 29
Almighty Allah's Truth.
