We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
