In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Everything in the heavens and earth glorifies God -- He is the Mighty, the Wise One. 1 His is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; He quickeneth and He giveth death; and He is Able to do all things. 2 He is the First and the Last, and the Outward and the Inward; and He is Knower of all things. 3 He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days and then Istawa (rose over) the Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). He knows what goes into the earth and what comes forth from it, what descends from the heaven and what ascends thereto. And He is with you (by His Knowledge) wheresoever you may be. And Allah is the All-Seer of what you do. 4 To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: and all affairs are referred back to Allah. 5 He causes the night to pass into the day and the day to pass into the night. And He knows all that is in the hearts of men. 6 Believe in Allah and His Apostle, and spend out of what He has made you to be successors of; for those of you who believe and spend shall have a great reward. 7 And what reason have you that you should not believe in Allah? And the Apostle calls on you that you may believe in your Lord, and indeed He has made a covenant with you if you are believers. 8 He is the One Who sends to His Servant Manifest Signs, that He may lead you from the depths of Darkness into the Light and verily Allah is to you most kind and Merciful. 9 Why should you not spend for the cause of God, when God alone holds the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Those of you who spent and fought before the victory will be higher in rank than those who spent and fought afterwards. Yet God has promised you all a good reward. He is aware of all that you do. 10
