The Companions of the Rocky Tract also rejected the messengers: 80 We gave them Our signs, but they turned away from them. 81 They used to hew out houses from the mountains and lived in security. 82 So the scream overcame them at morning. 83 Out of what they had gained, nothing proved to be of any benefit to them. 84 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but in truth; and the hour is most surely coming, so turn away with kindly forgiveness. 85 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. 86 We have indeed given you the seven oft-repeated (examples), and the majestic Qur'an. 87 Do not direct your eyes towards the things We have given to some of their couples to enjoy, and do not at all grieve because of them, and take the Muslims within the folds of your mercy. 88 And say: Surely I am the plain warner. 89 Like (those) We had sent to those schismatics who slandered their Books 90 who have broken the Koran into fragments. 91 So by your Lord, We will surely question them all 92 Of what they used to do. 93 Then declare what you are commanded and turn away from the polytheists. 94 verily, We shall suffice thee against all who [now] deride [this message - all] 95 Who set up along with Allah another ilah (god), they will come to know. 96 We certainly know that you feel sad about what they say against you. 97 but extol thou thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise Him, and be of those who prostrate themselves [before Him] in adoration, 98 and worship your Lord until what is certain [death] comes to you. 99
