Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 Wherefore as to the orphan, be thou not unto him overbearing. 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
