And (remember) when your Lord said to Moosa, “Go to the unjust people.” 10 the people of Pharaoh: do they have no fear?" 11 He said, 'My Lord, I fear they will cry me lies, 12 and my breast will be straitened, and my tongue will not be loosed; so send to Aaron. 13 besides, they accuse me of a crime, and I fear that they may put me to death." 14 He said, “Not like this (any more); both of you go with Our signs, We are with you, All Hearing.” 15 Go to the Pharaoh and tell him: 'We bring a message from the Lord of all the worlds 16 so send forth with us the Children of Israel." 17 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said [to Musa (Moses)]: "Did we not bring you up among us as a child? And you did dwell many years of your life with us. 18 "And you did your deed, which you did (i.e. the crime of killing a man). And you are one of the ingrates." 19 Said Moosa, “I did that at a time when I was unaware of the consequences.” (In anger – See verse 28:15) 20 and I fled from you because I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and made me one of the messengers. 21 And is it a favor of which you remind me that you have enslaved the children of Israel? 22 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "And what is the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)?" 23 He said, 'The Lord of the heavens and earth, and what between them is, if you have faith.' 24 (Firon) said to those around him: Do you not hear? 25 [Moses] said, "Your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers." 26 [Pharaoh] said, "Indeed, your 'messenger' who has been sent to you is mad." 27 Moses said, "He is the Lord of the East and the West, and all that lies between them, if only you could understand." 28 Said [Pharaoh]: "Indeed, if thou choose to worship any deity other than me, I shall most certainly throw thee into prison! 29 (Moses) said: "Even though I have brought to you something convincing?" 30 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Bring it forth then, if you are of the truthful!" 31 Thereupon [Moses] threw down his staff - and lo! it was a serpent, plainly visible; 32 and he drew his hand (out of his armpit) and lo! it had become a shining object to the beholders. 33
