And remember Our servant Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, Satan has touched me with hardship and torment." 41 Urge with your foot; here is a cool washing-place and a drink. 42 And We gave him (back) his family, and along with them the like thereof, as a Mercy from Us, and a Reminder for those who understand. 43 and, 'Take in thy hand a bundle of rushes, and strike therewith, and do not fail in thy oath.' Surely We found him a steadfast man. How excellent a servant he was! He was a penitent. 44 (Muhammad), recall Our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, all of whom possessed virtuous hands and clear visions. 45 Verily We exalted them in consideration of a sterling quality: their remembrance of the Abode of the Hereafter. 46 And most surely they were with Us, of the elect, the best. 47 And call to mind Ishmael and Elisha, and every one who [like them] has pledged himself [unto Us]: for, each of them was of the truly good! 48 This is a reminder. And lo! for those who ward off (evil) is a happy journey's end, 49 Gardens Everlasting, whereof the portals remain opened for them. 50 wherein they recline, and wherein they call for fruits abundant, and sweet potions, 51 ۞ And with them are the pure spouses, who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, of single age. 52 All this is what you are promised for the Day of Judgement. 53 Truly such will be Our Bounty (to you); it will never fail;- 54 This: and verily for the exorbitant there shall be an evil retreat: 55 Hell; which they shall enter; what an evil resting-place! 56 All this; so let them taste it - boiling water and pus, 57 And other Penalties of a similar kind, to match them! 58 [And they will say to one another: "Do you see] this crowd of people who rushed headlong [into sin] with you? No welcome to them! Verily, they [too] shall have to endure the fire!" 59 They will say to them, "You are not welcome! It was you who brought this on us, an evil place to stay," 60 They will say: "Our Lord! whoever brought this upon us,- Add to him a double Penalty in the Fire!" 61 They will say to one another: “But why do we not see those whom we considered him among the wicked? 62 [and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or is it that [they are here, and] our eyes have missed them?" 63 Verily, that is the very truth, the mutual dispute of the people of the Fire! 64
