Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 and the burden-bearers 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 Verily that which ye are promised is true; 5 and, verily, judgment is bound to come! 6 By the heaven with its numerous forms: 7 Verily, [O men,] you are deeply at variance as to what to believe: 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 who are heedless in the immersion. 11 They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 "Taste your trial. This is what you sought to hasten." 14 The pious ones will live amidst gardens and springs, 15 They shall receive what their Lord will bestow on them. They have done good works in the past, 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, 18 And in their wealth the beggar and the outcast had due share. 19 And in the earth are signs for those who are certain. 20 just as [there are signs thereof] within your own selves: can you not, then, see? 21 In heaven is your sustenance, and also that which you are promised. 22 for, by the Sustainer of heaven and earth, this [life after death] is the very truth - as true as that you are endowed with speech! 23
