The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 while they sat around it, 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 And He is the Fogiving, the Loving, 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
