The people of Lot cried lies to the Envoys 160 Behold, their brother Lut said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 161 "Verily! I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 so fear you God, and obey you me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 What! do you come to the males from among the creatures 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your wives? Nay, you are a trespassing people!" 166 They said: "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will be expelled (from the city)." 167 (Lot) said: "I am disgusted with your actions," 168 My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do." 169 So We delivered him and his household all. 170 Except one old woman, who stayed behind. 171 We destroyed the others 172 And We rained on them a rain (of torment). And how evil was the rain of those who had been warned. 173 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 174 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
