And do not kill your children for fear of poverty. We provide for them and for you. Indeed, their killing is ever a great sin. 31 And do not go near fornication, as it is immoral and an evil way. 32 And slay not the life which Allah hath forbidden save with right. Whoso is slain wrongfully, We have given power unto his heir, but let him not commit excess in slaying. Lo! he will be helped. 33 And do not touch the substance of an orphan, save to improve it, before he comes of age. And be true to every promise - for, verily, [on Judgment Day] you will be called to account for every promise which you have made! 34 And give full measure when you measure, and weigh with an even balance. That is the best [way] and best in result. 35 Do not follow what you do not know; for the ear and the eye and the heart shall all be called to account. 36 And walk not on the earth with conceit and arrogance. Verily, you can neither rend nor penetrate the earth, nor can you attain a stature like the mountains in height. 37 The evil of all this is odious in thy Sustainer's sight: 38 (Muhammad), these are words of wisdom which your Lord has revealed to you. Do not consider anything equal to God lest you be thrown into hell, despised, and driven away from God's mercy. 39 Then, has your Lord chosen you for [having] sons and taken from among the angels daughters? Indeed, you say a grave saying. 40
