The nation of Noah, belied their Messengers. 105 when their brother Noah said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 106 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 107 “Therefore fear Allah, and obey me.” 108 I seek of you no reward for this: my reward is with none except the Lord of the Universe. 109 so fear you God, and obey you me.' 110 ۞ They replied: 'Are we to believe you whom the lowliest follow' 111 He said: I have no knowledge of that which they have been Working. 112 Their account is only with my Lord, if you could perceive 113 "I am not one to drive away those who believe. 114 I am naught but a plain warner. 115 They said: "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will be stoned to death." 116 He said, 'My Lord, my people have cried me lies, 117 so give true deliverance between me and them, and deliver me and the believers that are with me. 118 So We saved him, and those who were with him in the laden ark, 119 and drowned the others. 120 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 122

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
