Truly it is the revelation of the Lord of all Being, 192 It has been revealed through the trustworthy Spirit 193 Upon your heart, for you to convey warning. 194 In the plain Arabic language. 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 Was it not a sign for them known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter the hearts of the sinners. 200 they will not believe in it till they behold the grievous suffering 201 The torment will strike them suddenly without their knowledge. 202 And they will say, "May we be reprieved?" 203 Do they want to hasten Our torment? 204 Seest thou? If We do let them enjoy (this life) for a few years, 205 and then the chastisement of which they were being warned were to come upon them, 206 That which they were made to enjoy shall not avail them? 207 And We did not destroy any town but it had (its) warners, 208 We have never been unjust to anyone. 209 And it is not the Shayatin (devils) who have brought it (this Quran) down, 210 it behoves them not, neither are they able. 211 verily, [even] from hearing it are they utterly debarred! 212 So do not call on any deity besides God, lest you incur His punishment. 213 And warn your near relations, 214 And take those believers under your wing who follow you. 215 If they disobey you, tell them, "I condemn your disobedient deeds". 216 And put your trust in the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful, 217 who can see whether you stand up 218 and sees your movements among those who prostrate themselves: 219 He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 220 [And] shall I tell you upon whom it is that those evil spirits descend? 221 They descend on every lying sinner, 222 They give ear, but most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, the erring follow them, 224 Do you not see that they wander about in every valley 225 And that they say that which they do not do, 226 Save those that believe, and do righteous deeds, and remember God oft, and help themselves after being wronged; and those who do wrong shall surely know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
