Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 This is but one of the mighty (portents), 35 Warn the men. 36 To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins), 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 as if they were startled asses 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 Nay! it is surely an admonition. 54 Then whoever wills will remember it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
