By the moon 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 A warning for people -- 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations, 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
