Consultation (Al-Shooraa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Ha'. Mim. 1 A'in. Sin. Qaf. 2 Thus does Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Wise reveal to you even as (He revealed) to those (Messengers) who preceded you. 3 His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth; He is the Most High, the All-Great. 4 Almost might the heavens above be rent asunder while the angels hymn the praise of their Lord and ask forgiveness for those on the earth. Lo! Allah, He is the Forgiver, the Merciful. 5 And (as for) those who take guardians besides Him, Allah watches over them, and you have not charge over them. 6 And thus We have revealed to you an Arabic Qur'an that you may warn the Mother of Cities [Makkah] and those around it and warn of the Day of Assembly, about which there is no doubt. A party will be in Paradise and a party in the Blaze. 7 If God had pleased He would have made them one community of belief; but He admits whom He please to His grace; yet the sinners have neither friend nor helper. 8 Have they taken patrons besides Him! But Allah! He is the Patron, He quickeneth the dead, and He is over everything Potent. 9
