Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
A. L. M. 1 There is no doubt that this Book is revealed by the Lord of the Universe. 2 Or do they say: “He has fabricated it?” Nay, it is the Truth from your Lord so that you may warn a people to whom no warner came before you; perhaps they will be guided to the Right Way. 3 It is Allah Who has created the heavens and the earth, and all between them, in six Days, and is firmly established on the Throne (of Authority): ye have none, besides Him, to protect or intercede (for you): will ye not then receive admonition? 4 He arranges [each] matter from the heaven to the earth; then it will ascend to Him in a Day, the extent of which is a thousand years of those which you count. 5 Such is (He) the knower of the unknown and the known, the mighty and the merciful, 6 Who made all things good which He created, and He began the creation of man from clay; 7 then He made his progeny from an extract of a humble fluid. 8 Then He made him complete and breathed into him of His spirit, and made for you the ears and the eyes and the hearts; little is it that you give thanks. 9 They say: “Shall we be created afresh after we have become lost in the earth?” Nay, the fact is that they deny that they will meet their Lord. 10 ۞ Say: "The Angel of Death, put in charge of you, will (duly) take your souls: then shall ye be brought back to your Lord." 11
