The Human (Al-Insan)
31 verses, revealed in Medina after The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman) before Divorce (Al-Talaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
WAS THERE NOT a time in the life of man when he was not even a mentionable thing? 1 We created man of a sperm-drop, a mingling, and We made him hearing, seeing. 2 Indeed, We have guided him to the path, he is either grateful or ungrateful. 3 For the Rejecters we have prepared chains, yokes, and a blazing Fire. 4 Indeed the virtuous will drink from a cup, containing a mixture of Kafoor. 5 From a spring of which the votaries of God will drink and make it flow in abundance. 6 Those who fulfil their vows and fear the Day whose evil shall be diffused far and wide, 7 those who, for the love of Him, feed the needy, and the orphan, and the captive, 8 (saying): 'We feed you only desirous of the Face of Allah; we seek of you neither recompense nor thanks, 9 We are afraid of our Lord and the bitterly distressful day". 10 So God has guarded them from the evil of that day, and has procured them radiancy and gladness, 11 And will reward them for what they patiently endured [with] a garden [in Paradise] and silk [garments]. 12 Reclining therein on raised couches, they shall find therein neither (the severe heat of) the sun nor intense cold. 13 And close down upon them (shall be) its shadows, and its fruits shall be made near (to them), being easy to reach. 14 And they will be waited upon with vessels of silver and goblets that will [seem to] be crystal 15 Clear glasses [made] from silver of which they have determined the measure. 16 And they shall be given to drink from a cup whose mixture is ginger, 17 From a fountain therein, named Salsabil. 18 ۞ And round about them shall go youths never altering in age; when you see them you will think them to be scattered pearls. 19 When you see them, you see bliss, and a great Kingdom. 20 Upon them shall be garments of fine green silk and of brocades. And adorned they shall be with bracelets of silver: and their Lord shall give them drink a beverage pure. 21 'See, this is your recompense, your striving is thanked' 22

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
