Al-Hijjr 2 of 6

We have indeed set constellations in the heavens and have beautified them for the beholders, 16 and guarded them from every stoned satan. 17 Save him who stealeth the hearing, and him there followeth a flame gleaming. 18 As for the earth, We have stretched it out and have cast on it firm mountains, and have caused to grow in it everything well-measured. 19 And We have made in it means of subsistence for you and for him for whom you are not the suppliers. 20 For, no single thing exists that does not have its source with Us; and nought do We bestow from on high unless it be in accordance with a measure well-defined. 21 And We send the winds fertilizing, then send down water from the cloud so We give it to you to drink of, nor is it you who store it up. 22 for, behold, it is We - We alone - who grant life and deal death, and it is We alone who shall remain after all else will have passed away! 23 And assuredly We know those of you who have gone before and those who will come hereafter. 24 and it is your Lord who will gather them. He is Wise, Knowing. 25
