1/2 Hizb 45

۞ (God will command the angels), "Gather together the unjust, their spouses, and what they had worshipped 22 Other than Allah, and guide them to the path of Hellfire 23 “And stop them they are to be questioned.” 24 How is it that you are not helping one another? 25 No, today they will resign themselves in submission, 26 And some of them shall advance towards others, questioning each other. 27 "It was you who tried to mislead us from righteousness". 28 They answer: Nay, but ye (yourselves) were not believers. 29 We had no power over you. You were a rebellious people, 30 “So the Word of our Lord has proved true upon us; we will surely have to taste (the punishment).” 31 So then, [if it be true that] we have caused you to err grievously - behold, we ourselves had been lost in grievous error!" 32 On that Day, they will all share the chastisement. 33 As such We shall deal with the evildoers. 34 Indeed, when it was said to them, “There is no God except Allah”, they were haughty. 35 And they said: are we going to abandon our gods on account of a poet distracted? 36 In fact, he had brought them the truth and had acknowledged the Messengers (who were sent before him). 37 Lo! (now) verily ye taste the painful doom - 38 and will be recompensed only for what you deserve. 39 Not so, however, God's true servants: 40 shall have a known provision -- 41 as the fruits [of their life on earth]; and honoured shall they be 42 In gardens of delight, 43 On couches, facing one another. 44 a goblet from a spring shall be passed round to them 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 there is neither sickness in it, nor intoxication. 47 With them will be spouses, modest of gaze and beautiful of eye, 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other. 50 One of them will start the talk and say: "I had an intimate companion (on the earth), 51 who would say: "Are you among the believers (of the resurrection)? 52 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then be certainly brought to judgment? 53 He saith: Will ye look? 54 Then looketh he and seeth him in the depth of hell. 55 He says, 'By God, wellnigh thou didst destroy me; 56 “And were it not for the munificence of my Lord, I too would have been seized and brought forth (captive)!” 57 But then, [O my friends in paradise,] is it [really] so that we are not to die 58 except our first death, and shall we not be punished' 59 This is indeed the mighty triumph, 60 For such a reward should the workers perform. 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 Verily We! We have made it a temptation for the wrong-doers. 63 For it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-Fire: 64 The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of Shayatin (devils); 65 Truly, they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 then on top of it they have a brew of boiling water, 67 And afterward, lo! their return is surely unto hell. 68 Truly they found their fathers on the wrong Path; 69 so they are rushing to follow in their footsteps. 70 And verily most of the men of old went astray before them, 71 We had certainly sent warners to them. 72 Then see how was the end of those warned, 73 Save the bondmen of Allah sincere. 74
