We indeed created man; and We know what his soul whispers within him, and We are nearer to him than the jugular vein. 16 When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left. 17 Not a word he uttereth but there is with him a watcher ready. 18 And death's agony comes in truth; that is what thou wast shunning! 19 And the Horn shall be blown; that is the Day of Threat! 20 And every soul came, along with a herder and a witness. 21 (It will be said:) "Thou wast heedless of this; now have We removed thy veil, and sharp is thy sight this Day!" 22 His companion said: “Here is he who was in my charge.” 23 [Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, 24 "Who forbade what was good, transgressed all bounds, cast doubts and suspicions; 25 and an idol worshipper. Throw him into severe torment". 26 ۞ His companion said: “I did not incite him to rebel; he was far gone into error of his own accord.” 27 He will say, “Do not dispute before Me – I had already warned you of the punishment.” 28 The judgment passed by Me shall not be altered; but never do I do the least wrong unto My creatures!" 29
