He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 Because a blind man came to him. 2 How could you know? Perhaps he would cleanse himself, 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and that the admonition might profit him? 4 As for him who thinketh himself independent, 5 you attend to him, 6 although it is not for you to be concerned if he remained unpurified. 7 And for him who came to you striving, 8 And hath fear, 9 you pay no heed to him. 10 No indeed; this is only a Reminder. 11 Let him who will, pay heed to it. 12 On honourable pages. 13 lofty and pure, 14 [Carried] by the hands of messenger-angels, 15 noble, pious. 16 May (the disbelieving) human being be condemned! What makes him disbelieve? 17 From what has God created him? 18 He created him from a living germ. He determined his fate 19 and made the path of guidance easy for him to follow. 20 Then He causeth him to die, and putteth him in his grave; 21 Then He will raise him up again when He please. 22 Not one he has not yet completed what he was commanded. 23 Then let man look to his food, 24 We poured down rain abundantly, 25 Then We cleave the earth, cleaving (it) asunder, 26 We make the grain grow out of it, 27 grapes, and fresh fodder, 28 And olives and date palms, 29 and dense orchards, 30 and fruit and pastures, 31 [As] enjoyment for you and your grazing livestock. 32 AND SO, when the piercing call [of resurrection] is heard 33 it will be such a day when a person will run away from his brother, 34 his mother and his father, 35 and from his spouse and his children: 36 Everyman, that Day, will have enough to make him careless of others. 37 (Many) faces on that day shall be bright, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 Some faces on that Day shall be dust-ridden, 40 Dust shall cover them 41 those will be ones who denied the truth and were immersed in iniquity. 42
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
