SAY [O Muhammad]: "I am only a warner; and there is no deity whatever save God, the One, who holds absolute sway over all that exists, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Mighty, the Pardoning. 66 Say: It is a message of importance, 67 "From which ye do turn away! 68 I had no knowledge of the higher Assembly when they discussed it among themselves. 69 Naught is revealed unto me except that I am a warner manifest. 70 Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay: 71 When I have shaped him, and breathed My spirit in him, fall you down, bowing before him!' 72 Then the angels bowed themselves all together, 73 Except Iblis (Satan) he was proud and was one of the disbelievers. 74 The Lord said: “O Iblis, what prevented you from prostrating yourself before him whom I created of My Two Hands. Are you waxing proud, or fancy yourself to be too exalted?” 75 He replied: “I am nobler than he. You created me from fire and created him from clay.” 76 "Begone! You are accursed: 77 And indeed, upon you is My curse until the Day of Recompense." 78 He said, "Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Resurrection". 79 The Lord said, "You will only be given a respite 80 till the Day the time whereof is known [only to Me]." 81 (Iblis) said: “By Your glory, I shall mislead them all 82 except Your sincere servants among them". 83 [Allah] said, "The truth [is My oath], and the truth I say - 84 "That I will certainly fill Hell with thee and those that follow thee,- every one." 85 Say: 'I ask of you no wage for it, neither am I of those who take things upon themselves. 86 It is nothing but a reminder to the nations; 87 “And you will come to know of its tidings, after a while.” 88
