Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]? 1 Many faces will be contrite on that day, 2 Working [hard] and exhausted. 3 Entering into burning fire, 4 They will be given to drink from a boiling spring, 5 No food shall be theirs save bitter thorn, 6 which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 (Other) faces on that day shall be happy, 8 with their striving well-pleased, 9 They will live in an exalted garden 10 wherein thou wilt hear no empty talk. 11 with a flowing spring, 12 Therein are thrones raised high, 13 And goblets ready placed! 14 And cushions ranged! 15 And carpets ready spread, 16 Will they not then consider the camels, how they are created? 17 And the heaven, how it is raised? 18 And the mountains – how they have been established? 19 And at the earth, how it is spread out? 20 Then remind them! Thou art only a reminder; 21 You do not have full control over them. 22 But whoever turns back and disbelieves, 23 God will punish them with the greatest torment. 24 Indeed, to Us is their return. 25 And Ours their reckoning. 26
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
