He it is Who made the earth smooth for you, therefore go about in the spacious sides thereof, and eat of His sustenance, and to Him is the return after death. 15 Do you feel secure that He, Who is over the heaven (Allah), will not cause the earth to sink with you, then behold it shakes (as in an earthquake)? 16 Or do you feel secure that He who [holds authority] in the heaven would not send against you a storm of stones? Then you would know how [severe] was My warning. 17 But indeed men before them rejected (My warning): then how (terrible) was My rejection (of them)? 18 Do they not observe the birds above them, spreading their wings and folding them? None, except the Merciful holds them. Surely, He sees all things. 19 [And] is there any, besides the Most Gracious, that could be a shield for you, and could succour you [against danger]? They who deny this truth are but lost in self-delusion! 20 Or who is it that could provide for you if He withheld His provision? But they have persisted in insolence and aversion. 21 Is he who walks without seeing on his face, more rightly guided, or he who (sees and) walks on a Straight Way (i.e. Islamic Monotheism). 22 Say: He it is Who brought you into being and made for you the ears and the eyes and the hearts: little is it that you give thanks. 23 Say: 'It is He who scattered you in the earth, and unto Him you shall be mustered.' 24 They say: "When will this promise (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) come to pass? if you are telling the truth." 25 Say, "God alone has knowledge of that; and I am only a plain warner." 26 Then, when they see it nigh at hand, the faces of the unbelievers will be vexed, and it will be said, 'This is what you were promised.' 27 Say thou: bethink ye if Allah destroy me and those with me; or have mercy on us, who will protect the infidels from a torment afflictive? 28 Say: "He is (Allah) Most Gracious: We have believed in Him, and on Him have we put our trust: So, soon will ye know which (of us) it is that is in manifest error." 29 Say to them: “Did you even consider: if all the water that you have (in the wells) were to sink down into the depths of the earth, who will produce for you clear, flowing water?” 30
