Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish. 1 His wealth did not avail him, nor his acquisitions. 2 He will be burnt in a Fire of blazing flames! 3 and his wife, laden with firewood 4 Will have a strap of fibre rope around her neck. 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
