The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 Who determines and directs, 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
