The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 And the promised day, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 when they were seated around it 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
