And certainly We created man, and We know what his mind suggests to him, and We are nearer to him than his life-vein. 16 When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left. 17 whatever phrase he utters, an observer is present. 18 And [then,] the twilight of death brings with it the [full] truth that [very thing, O man,] from which thou wouldst always look away! 19 And then the Trumpet was blown. This is the day of the promised chastisement. 20 And every human being will come forward with [his erstwhile] inner urges and [his] conscious mind, 21 “You were indeed neglectful of this, so We have removed the veil for you, and your eyesight is sharp this day.” 22 And his accompanying angel said, “This is the record of your deeds, available with me.” 23 It will be said to the angels, “Both of you fling every excessive ungrateful, stubborn person into hell.” 24 who is an opponent of good, a suspicious transgressor 25 Who had set up another god with God. Cast him into severe torment." 26 ۞ His [devil] companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not make him transgress, but he [himself] was in extreme error." 27 He will say: Do not quarrel in My presence, and indeed I gave you the threatening beforehand: 28 The judgment passed by Me shall not be altered; but never do I do the least wrong unto My creatures!" 29
