The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

WHEN THE EARTH quakes with her [last] mighty quaking, 1 and the earth will throw up all her burdens, 2 and man will cry out: “What is the matter with her?” 3 On that Day will she declare her tidings: 4 for your Lord has so directed it. 5 That day mankind will issue forth in scattered groups to be shown their deeds. 6 Then whosoever hath worked good of an atom's weight shall behold it 7 while whoever has done the smallest particle of evil will see it. 8
