The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Read with the name of your Lord Who created, 1 created man from a clot of congealed blood. 2 Recite: And thy Lord is the Most Generous, 3 The One Who taught to write with the pen. 4 Hath taught man that which he knew not. 5 Indeed, surely the human is very insolent 6 For he thinks he is sufficient in himself. 7 Surely to your Lord is the return. 8 What do you think? Have you seen he who forbids 9 A bondman when he offers the prayer? 10 What will happen if the praying person is rightly guided 11 or is concerned with God-consciousness? 12 What do you think? Have you seen if he belies and turns away, 13 Does he not know that Allah sees? 14 By no means! If he desist not We shall seize and deal him by the forelock 15 A lying, sinning forelock. 16 So, let him call upon his way! 17 We will call the guards of hell. 18 Nay, pay thou no heed to him, but prostrate thyself [before God] and draw close [unto Him]! ۩ 19
Almighty God's Truth.
