And when thy Lord called to Moses, 'Go to the people of the evildoers, 10 the people of Pharaoh, will they not fear God? 11 He said: my Lord! verily I fear they shall belie me. 12 And my breast straiteneth, and my tongue moveth not quickly: so send for Harun. 13 And they have a crime against me, so I fear that they shall slay me. 14 He said: 'Never so, go both of you with Our signs; We shall be with you, listening 15 Then come to Firon and say: Surely we are the apostles of the Lord of the worlds: 16 Let the children of Israel go with us!'" 17 (Pharaoh) said: "Did we not cherish thee as a child among us, and didst thou not stay in our midst many years of thy life? 18 "And thou didst a deed of thine which (thou knowest) thou didst, and thou art an ungrateful (wretch)!" 19 Moses replied, "I did that when I was one of the misguided, 20 and I fled from you because I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and made me one of the messengers. 21 And [as for] that favour of which thou so tauntingly remindest me - [was it not] due to thy having enslaved the children of Israel?" 22 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "And what is the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)?" 23 Musa (Moses) said: "Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, if you seek to be convinced with certainty." 24 (The Pharaoh) said to those around him: "Do you hear?" 25 He said: your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers. 26 (The Pharaoh) said (to his nobles): "Your apostle who has been sent to you, is certainly mad." 27 He said, “The Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them; if you have sense.” 28 Said he: If you will take a god besides me, I will most certainly make you one of the imprisoned. 29 (Moses) said: "Even if I showed you something clear (and) convincing?" 30 [Pharaoh] said, "Then bring it, if you should be of the truthful." 31 So (Moses) cast his staff, and lo, it turned into a living serpent. 32 And he drew forth his hand, thereupon it shone bright before the beholders. 33

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
