The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 And by those that swim along (i.e. angels or planets in their orbits, etc.). 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 And direct affairs by command, 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 (Now) they are saying: Shall we really be restored to our first state 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 But only, it will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e., the second blowing of the Trumpet)]. (See Verse 37:19). 13 and they will be upon the surface of the earth (alive). 14 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 15 His Lord called out to him by the sacred valley of Tuwa: 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 Then say thou: wouldst thou to be purified? 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 He showed him the mighty sign, 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 And he summoned all his people, 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
