So did you observe him who turned away? 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
