The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
46 verses, revealed in Mecca after The News (Al-Naba') before Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER those [stars] that rise only to set, 1 By the angels who release with gentle release. 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 and thus they fulfil the [Creator's] behest! 5 On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], 6 to be followed by further [convulsions]! 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 and their eyes will be humbled. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" 11 They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 12 Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, 13 And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface. 14 Has there reached you the story of Moses? - 15 His Lord called to him in the Sacred Valley of Towa, 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 and say, 'Will you reform yourself? 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 Yet he belied and disobeyed. 21 Then turned he away in haste, 22 And assembled (his council) and proclaimed, 23 Yet to a rich man, 24 So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression]. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
