▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Furthermore I call to witness the setting of the Stars,- 75 and that is a mighty oath, if you but knew 76 That (this) is indeed an honourable recital (the Noble Quran). 77 in a hidden Book 78 Which none toucheth save the purified, 79 (This Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Is it such a Message that ye would hold in light esteem? 81 And make it your provision that ye should belie it? 82 Why, but when the soul leaps to the throat of the dying 83 And you at that time look on-- 84 (And We are nigher him than you, but you do not see Us) 85 Then why do you not, if you are exempt from the reckoning and recompense (punishment, etc.) 86 Can you not bring him back? (Answer) if you are truthful 87 But if he [the dying person] is one of those brought near to God, 88 happiness [awaits him in the life to come,] and inner fulfillment, and a garden of bliss. 89 And if he is of those on the right, – 90 Then upon you is the greetings of peace (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), from those on the right. 91 And if he be of those who treat (Truth) as Falsehood, who go wrong, 92 Then an entertainment of boiling water. 93 and the roasting in Hell. 94 Lo! this is certain truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
