The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 The One Who created, and then made proper. 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall teach you (the Quran) and you will not forget it 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 And We shall make easy unto thee the easy way. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
