The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 By the angels who release with gentle release. 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 The second blowing of the Trumpet follows it (and everybody will be raised up), 7 On that day hearts beat painfully 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 after we have become bones and dust?" 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 and then, lo, they will be fully awakened [to the truth]! 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: 18 And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? 19 Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; 20 But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] belied and disobeyed; 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 then he mustered 23 And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest." 24 Wherefore Allah laid hold of him with the punishment of the Hereafter and of the present. 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
