S (Saad)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Sad. CONSIDER this Qur'an, endowed with all that one ought to remember! 1 No, the unbelievers exalt in their division. 2 How many generations have We destroyed before them. They called: 'The time is neither of escape, nor safety' 3 And they marvel that a warner from among themselves hath come unto them, and the disbelievers say: This is a wizard, a charlatan. 4 Maketh he the gods One God? Verily that is a thing astounding! 5 And their leaders went about, “Leave him and cling steadfastly to your Gods! Indeed he has a hidden objective in this!” 6 We never heard of it in the former faith. It is surely a fabrication. 7 "Has the Reminder been sent down to him (alone) from among us?" Nay! but they are in doubt about My Reminder (this Quran)! Nay, but they have not tasted (My) Torment! 8 Or do they have the depositories of the mercy of your Lord, the Exalted in Might, the Bestower? 9 Or is it that theirs is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what is between them? Then let them ascend by any 10 [But] there it is: any and all human beings, however [strongly] leagued together, are bound to suffer defeat [whenever they refuse to accept the truth]. 11 Even before them the people of Noah, 'Ad, the mighty Pharoah, 12 Thamood, the nation of Lot and the dwellers of the Thicket such were the confederates. 13 None of them was such that it did not deny the Noble Messengers, therefore My punishment became inevitable. 14
