Verily for the God-fearing, are with their Lord Gardens of Delight. 34 Should We treat those who submit and obey in the same way as those who are culpable? 35 What has come upon you that you judge in such a wise? 36 Or do you have a scripture in which you learn 37 That ye shall have, through it whatever ye choose? 38 Or have ye oaths from Us reaching to the Day of Resurrection, that you shall be that which ye judge? 39 Ask them, which of them will vouch for that! 40 Or have they other partners [besides God]? Let them bring forth their other partners, if what they say be true. 41 On the day when the terrible torment approaches, they will be told (in a mocking way) to prostrate themselves, but they will not be able to do it. 42 humbled shall be their eyes, and abasement shall overspread them, for they had been summoned to bow themselves while they were whole. 43 Hence, leave Me alone with such as give the lie to this tiding. We shall bring them low, step by step, without their perceiving how it has come about: 44 And I will give them respite; indeed My plan is very solid. 45 Do you ask for any compensation from them that they are burdened with want? 46 Or that they possess the hidden, so they are writing it? 47 So wait with patience for the judgement of your Lord, and do not be like (Jonah) of the fish who called (to his Lord) when he was choked with anger. 48 [And remember:] had not grace from his Sustainer reached him, he would indeed have been cast forth upon that barren shore in a state of disgrace: 49 But his Lord had chosen him, and He placed him among the righteous. 50 But the unbelievers would like to stare you out of balance when they hear the warning, and say: "Surely he is possessed;" 51 [Be patient:] for this is nought else but a reminder [from God] to all mankind. 52
