[Musa (Moses)] said: "O my Lord! Open for me my chest (grant me self-confidence, contentment, and boldness). 25 "And ease my task for me; 26 And untie the knot from my tongue 27 "That they understand my speech, 28 and appoint for me, from my household, someone who will help me bear my burden - 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 To strengthen me 31 “And make him a partner in my task.” 32 That we may sing Your praises much, 33 and remember You much: 34 You are Well Aware of our situation." 35 [Allah] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses. 36 It is the second time that We have bestowed upon you Our favor. 37 when We revealed what was to be made known to your mother, 38 Saying: Throw him into the ark, and throw it into the river, then the river shall throw it on to the bank, and there an enemy to Me and an enemy to him shall take him. And I endued thee with love from Me that thou mightest be trained according to My will, 39 “When your sister went, then said, ‘Shall I show you the people who may nurse him?’ And We brought you back to your mother in order to soothe her eyes and that she may not grieve; and you killed a man, so We freed you from sorrow, and tested you to the maximum; you therefore stayed for several years among the people of Madyan; then you came (here) at an appointed time, O Moosa.” 40 And I formed thee for Myself. 41 "Go forth, [then,] thou and thy brother, with My messages, and never tire of remembering Me: 42 Go ye twain unto Fir'awn, verily he hath waxen exorbitant, 43 “And speak to him courteously, that perhaps he may ponder or have some fear.” 44 The two [brothers] said: "O our Sustainer! Verily, we fear lest he act hastily with regard to us, or lest he [continue to] transgress all bounds of equity." 45 He said: Fear not. Lo! I am with you twain, Hearing and Seeing. 46 So go to him, and say: verily we are two apostles of thy Lord, so let go with us the Children of Isra'il, and torment them not; surely we have come unto thee with a sign from thy Lord: and peace be upon him who followeth the guidance. 47 It has been revealed to us that punishment will befall him who denies and turns away. 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 He said, “Our Lord is One Who gave everything its proper shape, then showed the path.” 50 Said Firaun, “What is the state of the former generations?” 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a book, my Lord errs not, nor does He forget; 52 [It is He] who has made for you the earth as a bed [spread out] and inserted therein for you roadways and sent down from the sky, rain and produced thereby categories of various plants. 53 Consume them as food or for grazing your cattle. In this there is evidence (of the existence of God) for the people of reason". 54
