The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta. Sin, Mim. 1 These are the verses of the illustrious Book. 2 It may be that thou tormentest thyself (O Muhammad) because they believe not. 3 But if We had so willed, We could have sent down to them a sign from the heavens so that their heads would be bowed down before it in utter humility. 4 [But We have not willed it:] and so, whenever there comes unto them any fresh reminder from the Most Gracious, they [who are blind of heart] always - turn their backs upon it: 5 They have called (our revelation) lies. They will soon learn the consequences of what they mocked. 6 Do they not observe the earth, how much of every good kind We cause to grow therein? 7 Lo! herein is indeed a portent; yet most of them are not believers. 8 And verily, thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 9
