3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And assuredly Nuh cried unto us; and We are the Best of answerers! 75 And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress. 76 And made his progeny survive, 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 "Then what do you think about the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)?" 87 Then he glanced a glance on the stars. 88 And he said: "Verily, I am sick (with plague. He did this trick to remain in their temple of idols to destroy them and not to accompany them to the pagan's feast)." 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" 92 Then he attacked them, striking with his right hand. 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 when it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 We therefore gave him the glad tidings of an intelligent son. 101 Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!" 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 you have indeed fulfilled your dream. Thus do We reward the good-doers.” 105 It was certainly an open trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaq, a Herald of the Hidden, from among those who deserve Our proximity. 112 And We blessed him and Is-haq; and of their offspring are some well-doers and some who wrong themselves manifestly. 113
