Are ye the harder to create, or is the heaven that He built? 27 Raised it high, proportioned it, 28 Gave darkness to its night, and brightness to its day; 29 After this, He spread out the earth, 30 He brought out its water and its pastures from it, 31 And the mountains! He established them firm: 32 all this as provision for you and your cattle. 33 But when there comes the greatest catastrophe (i.e. the Day of Recompense, etc.), 34 The day on which man shall recollect what he strove after, 35 Hell fire will become visible for those who would see it. 36 So as for he who transgressed 37 And preferred the worldly life, 38 that blazing fire will truly be the goal! 39 But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination, 40 shall dwell in Paradise. 41 They ask thee of the Hour: when will it come to port? 42 What do you have to do with explaining it? 43 With thy Lord is the Limit fixed therefore. 44 Thou art but a Warner for such as fear it. 45 The day when they will see it, it will seem as if they had not stayed on earth except for an evening or its morning. 46
