We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 They called him a liar. Thus, all of them will suffer torment 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138
