In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), 1 Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). 2 Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous - 3 Who hath taught mankind by the pen 4 Taught man what he knew not. 5 Yet man behaves arrogantly, 6 As he bethinkest himself selfsufficient. 7 Surely to your Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen him who restrains 9 A servant when he prays? 10 What is your opinion – if he were upon guidance, 11 Or enjoins righteousness? 12 What is your opinion – if he denies and turns away, how wretched will be his state! 13 Does he not know that Allah sees everything? 14 By no means! If he desist not We shall seize and deal him by the forelock 15 the lying, rebellious forehead! 16 So let him call his associates, 17 We will call on the angels of punishment (to deal with him)! 18 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ 19
