The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful 1

ALL PRAISE BE to Allah, Lord of all the worlds, 2 the Beneficent, the Merciful; 3 the Master of the Day of Doom. 4 Thee alone do we worship and of Thee alone do we seek help, 5 Show us the straight path, 6 The path of those whom You have favoured – Not the path of those who earned Your anger – nor of those who are astray. 7

True are the words of God the Almighty.
